The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Sick lift man! You definitely are a beast and can do some damage if you get into competing!

Get some damn spotters though. The Ghetto-monolift is a good idea to avoid the walkout, but you need a few people spotting close when going that heavy. The pins are there I know, but spotters help a lot.

very nice squat and great depth! you have a bright future.

Now just one negative comment. If that was my gym and you flipped that bench and threw those db's like that it would have been your last day there. Now if that was your home gym, then disregard.

How sad do you have to be to lie to people on the internet. How weak or broken do you have to be to lie about how tough you are, how much you lift or how big or lean you are? You are lying to people you will never meet. The worst part is your the only one that does not see the lies show through so clearly. Just be happy with what you have, it may not be what you once had, but it is still better than many will ever have

Compete. I am not joking. if you do not start competing, it will an absolute WASTE of talent. Strength like yours is extremely rare; you are one of the few humans who, at 16, could even dream of doing what you're doing.

    Don't waste it. Please.

I'll second that, but then again I'm an old bastard.

That was a nice lift. Would really like to see you compete and get some mentoring by some other guys with big numbers. You have a very bright future ahead of you. Take advantage of what other have learned before you and set some new World Records!!!

Ditto. Look, that was impressive as hell. You are really strong, there is no doubt about that.

And believe me, I know the importance of getting pumped up, but the bench/dumbell toss is just totally unnecessary. With your size and strength you don't need to be doing that type of crap.

It is far more impressive to be a gentle giant.

But that's not to take away from your incredible strength. Just giving you some advice, please take it in the spirit it is intended.

Thanks guys, I tryed to push the bench away but it was up against the olympic lifting platform.

I didnt do it to look cool, because I know it makes me look like a jerk . I actually tryed to edit it out but Im a moron when it comes to computers.

I would compete if I could find meets that aren't on Saturday, (to answer why) I have church on saturday and somewhere it in the bible it says Im not supposed to do any work on the 7th day. Its the way I was raised so I cant disown my faith to go to a meet.

Theres no way around the Saturday thing, I wish there was because I would be doing it

on strength alone you would be an incredible lineman as long as you could move. if you are athletic and quick, the sky is the limit. whatever you decide to do, good luck.

Please do something with that strength of yours! Im pretty sure I speak for 95% of the people on this board when I say I would kill to be able to do that and your only 16! With some proper training you'd be ridiculous. You'd also have a ridiculous advantage in football with that much leg drive.

Dude, your a beast with incredible strength for any age never mind 16. Play football...there will be tons of colleges willing to give you a free ride to fight in the trenches for 4 years....and who knows...maybe get a big time shot. You have A LOT of potential.

A 300 lb strong as **** 16 year old? Colleges will be knocking down your door to get you to play football for them....giving you have some athleticism.

Already posted this on bodybuilding.com, pretty proud of it.

I hit 675lbs raw today at 16 today, Im probably good for 690 if I took some time off, I have been purposley over training latley and only took 2 seperate days off training legs and lower back in almost 2 weeks.

Also, thanks to everyone who helped me with the knee wrap thread, I got another 25lbs on my squat since then and Im thinking thats mostly from wraping the knee wraps better.

I may play next year, I must have been told I should play football 1000 times this year (literally), so I guess its worth a try. Even tho playing football in the Florida heat sucks.

Fine. Don't do any work. Squat 80% of your max or something. that's not work. you'll still win.

Forget your age group. You'll win most local meets in 308 open with those numbers.

    Stats: Age: 34 Weight: 205 Height: 5'6"

I wish I could man, I really really wish I could.

But I still think its wrong, I cant justify it at all. If there was a way I could... I would.

Its not the best situation, my parents alway try to make it sound like Im strong because of god etc. Even if I competed on Saturday, I would just be setting my self up for failure because I feel I would be doing wrong....

Il find meets on different days, its just not as easy.

Perhaps, but I wouldnt set world records.

Its not really about winning a meet, I want to be the strongest kid under 18 who ever lived. As far as most weight lifted, and powerlifting goes.

I say that because I cant think of any cooler lifting goals to have, while Im still under 18 lol.
