Does it make you lose all you have gained?
Really bad question. I'm not sure what kind of answers you are expecting...
A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook

"Fine, if I'm not allowed to light it on fire, can my imaginary friend?"
I've been crossfitting for about 2 years now. My bench press is weaker, only because I rarely do them. It's not really a lift that's done much in crossfit (it's not really a functional exercise). Deadlift and shoulder press are up. Cleans, Squats, Snatch, grip strength are all way up. Balance, speed, coordination, endurance are way, way up. My bodyweight is about the same, but I'm leaner (but size is a function of diet, not routine). I'm in the best shape of my life, and I've been lifting for 20 years. I'm 38, I no longer have any knee pain. Me and the girlfriend just did a 22 mile adventure race on sunday (mountain bike, run, swim, lift, jump, climb, bleed). My focus has changed. I don't necessarily want to be "huge". I want to feel good, and never have physical ability stop me from doing anything I want to do.

Crossfit turns you into a semi-hot woman.
If you want to maintain your size make sure your diet is in check. CrossFit can be pretty taxing so you may have to increase the cals a bit to compensate.
