Hi. Two questions. Firstly, yesterday i started doing the deadlift for the first time. I read up on proper technique beforehand and i think my technique was okay. So today pretty much my whole back aches. The sort of ache you get in any muscles when you lift weight ie. it is not pain. My thighs also ache. Does this show anything? Maybe i'm doing the deadlift wrong? any ideas?
Secondly, i used to do dips about 3 times a week but stopped because of an acute pain in my right shoulder. I think it is muscular not joint related. Is there any way i can build up my shoulders in different ways so i can go back to doing these dips? Other weights like bench pressing doesn't seem to effect my right shoulder in the same way. What should i do, if anything?
1. That's just delayed onset muscle soreness. It happens when you work hard.
2. Look up Rotator Cuff Prehab on the google.
much appreciated thanks.
