    ADFPF State Deadlift Meet - I walked out with an American record

    So I just got home from the meet. It went pretty well.

    I initially weighed in at 217, but because I had a chance at hitting a record in the 242's (the 220 record is a lot higher for junior 20-23 surprisingly), I drank a ton of water and re-weighed at 221.

    1st attempt: 365, easy as hell, 3 white lights
    2nd attempt: 405, easy as hell, 3 white lights
    3rd attempt: 430, smoke show, 3 white lights
    4th attempt (because it was american record): 450, miss, 1 white light - I thought I nailed it but apparently I paused on the way up and the bar sunk 1/2 inch before I locked it out, so they didn't count it, but I'm going to count it for my records

    Now I know you guys are thinking my lift is a joke, but I was competing 100% raw (no belt or wraps) and the 430 was good enough for an American record in the Raw division / Junior (age 20-23).

    I'm pretty excited.. I want to do the USAPL push-pull meet next month! I gotta say today was a huge PR for me and I couldn't have done it without you guys..

    Current lifts while cutting (all raw): bench 275x4, squat 365x8
    Estimated current maxes: 300 bench / 450 dead / 450 squat
    Competition / Gym PRs (from March 08)
    Bench: 325 raw / 385 loose shirt
    Deadlift: 450 raw ADFPF 04/26/08
    Squat: 405 raw
