The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Looking good there.

Ditch the gloves and get some real shorts haha!

Maybe take more time setting up for the DL's and watch your form a bit, try to keep a strong arch in your back or at least keep it flat. Otherwise great for a 15yo. I wish I would have started lifting when I was that young. But remember to be careful your not fully grown yet so do kill yourself yet.

    Great efforts keep it up.

you have some pretty good strength, but ****ty form with the deadlift. that was more of a straight-leg deadlift than a conventional deadlift. when you started, the first thing that went up was your butt so you the only thing you were using to lift the weight was you back and it look like you were straining it a bit. you don't want a bad back at age 15... i learned the hard way ;P arch you back a lot more by focusing on keeping your chest up. your legs should lock up around the same time as you lock the weight out. with good form, you easily have 340-360lb in you. you might even want to try mixing in sumo stance to see if you like that any better.

^^^ What he said for sure. Your ass goes way up at the start, you want to use your legs to drive at the start of the lift, try to push your heels through the floor. Also, when you lower the weight you just bend over at the back, which is not good. You should bend your knees as you bring the weight back down. The motion down should be the reverse of the motion up. Edit: I have found that for me personally I do better when I position the bar over the balls of my feet instead of right at my shins.

Here are a few vids that I used to correct my form.

Glad the vids helped bro! I would work on your form with light weight, like 135 until you get used to the proper form and then start going heavy again. Once you get your form right you should have a good sized jump in your max for sure. You will be catching me in no time I am sure

Weight: 166 (I'm likin my weight here for now)

    Deadlift:
    225 5x5

    Ghetto T-bar:
    135 5x5

    Bent Over Rows:
    135 5x5

All of this was easy, except the last set of T-bar rows. My new, good form on the deadlift helped so much. 225 5x5 was really easy. I wasn't at the gym, so i couldn't do lat pull downs, cable rows, and pullups.. so that was a bummer -- sux. I'm feelin' pretty rested up and can't weight for wednesday for bench day.

[B]Indifference:[B] Thanks alot man, i'm workin' real hard!

    Grr... I shouldn't have lifted.

    Bench:
    115 x 6
    135 x 6
    175 x 3
    185 x 2
    205 x 1
    230 x 1 -- 2 board. I've got a feelin' i didn't hit 255 all on my own. but then again that's when i was 8 pounds heavier..

Did tons of skull crushers, tricep pull downs, military press.. blah blah.

Sanchez, Pitt, Indifference, CoCoa: Thanks alot guys, I think i'm gunna have to start gaining more weight, i'm not feelin' as strong as i was.

Well bro I would say eat more. Lifting will do you no good if you are not eating enough for your body to build muscle. Try to eat healthy too.
