The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

It sucks missing deadlifts, but you got some decent rep PRs. Go get it next time.

Do you not have any chalk bro or was your grip failing even still? If not I would STRONGLY recommend it. Youd be surprised how much stronger you are on a pull with a solid grip that doesnt slip at all regardless of how sweaty or tired it is. Still a solid pulling workout bro. keep it up.

Definitely get some chalk. If you can squat 315x5 a 315 deadlift should be a piece of cake. Once you get your grip figured out you'll be hitting huge PRs in no time. Nice workout, regardless.

    Killxswitch: Thanks alot bro!

Indifference: No i wasn't using anything. Do I just get regular chalk, and crush it up?

Keith: Thanks bud. Chest is my weakest point, compared to my other lifts. It's not all that bad though.

CoCoa: Thanks man! Thanks for stopping by.

Jorge: Yeah my grip failed me, gotta work on that, thanks though!

    CHEST/TRIS/SHOULDERS

    Bench - Pause,Press
    135 x 8, 155 x 5, 175 x 4, 185 x 2

    Shoulder Press
    75 x 10, 95 x 7, 105 x 5, 105 x 3

    Curls
    115 x 3, 135 x 4 [Negatives]

Tricep Pull downs, JM Press, Skull Crushers, DB Press, Dips.

Feelin' pretty good today. Left shoulder is giving me some pain though. Coach was digging my strength for my size, he liked the pause press, becuase you usually see guys in there bouncin' around. Was fun, Leg day on Friday, deciding whether or not to go heavy, or go light, with tons of reps? Let me know guys. Thanks

EDIT: New Coach is getting chalk coming in soon

Good day bro. I was gonna say that the chalk you use is usually either referred to as gymnastic chalk or climbers chalk. Its not the same thing as blackboard chalk lol. Im sure your coach has it taken care of. I used to play center, tackle, and left guard back in high school. Those were the days. Enjoy them man.

I didn't realize you were 15. Great strength for your age and you're only gonna get better. Dude your strength is comparable or better than mine and I'm 9 years older than you! Imagine where you'll be when you're my age if you stick with it.

Thanks bro. Our school isn't very big, we've got two other centers, ones about 210, and the other is about 240. The kid that's 240 is my age.. but he isn't very strong. Oh, and for computer games, i play Halo PC, CS:S, some COD4, CS 1.6 here and there.. I don't play as much as I use to. Not much time.

Allright big guy, i'll definately try it. So start with the bar racked, lift it up, and come down slowly?

    Cardio..

    100M x 4 , 50M x 5 , 40M x 4 , 30M x 3 , 20M x 2 , 10M x 1.

Whiped. Damn, and it's only day one. I also love how about 90% team doesn't show up for cardio, becuase the weight room is closed... and the coach isn't expected to be there. Pathetic, the 5 other kids, that were there deserve to start, before these mfers.

Lookin good in here man. Good luck with football, that would be impressive to start varsity at your size and age. But with your strength, you should be able to push the bigger kids around a little.

Proving your dedication, bro. Don't let that 315 miss on the deads bother you. Sometimes, your body and the environment you're in just says "**** YOU!", ya know? Next time, of course, you'll nail that sucker. That's so true about how a lot of people bench. They just drop it down and bounce ("dork-press") the thing up. Keep kickin' ass, bro.

Kiaran, 315 was a bit shameful, it's not really on my shoulders though. Thank you for your concern though =). I really don't mind if it's hot in the gym.. i actually enjoy sweating, tbh with you. I'm planning on raping the **** outta 315 next session. Thanks for the kind words all, in all man. It's very encouraging.

So what do you guys think? Go heavy or light tomorrow? I've got a "bench-off" on June 10, for football. Maybe i should go hard tomorrow, but light on monday's back day?
