    Holy ****.

A couple great ones in there. I wish I could afford to hit that many shows. Hell, I wish that many shows I wanted to see came near here.

I been wanting to catch Dallas Green, Im not a fan of alexisonfire but some of his work on his ciry and colour project is pretty good.

Anyways i work at a outdoor concert venue, so i will see all the acts coming to this area.

The front offfice for the pro hockey team i worked for is taking the team bus to see Dave matthews band kick off there summer tour on

I will be attending the Rock the Range festival in Columbus, to see Stone Temple Pilots on May 17.

August 4 i will see Radiohead front and center.

Nothing i like better then getting drunk all day and then listiening to music outside on a nice cool summer night

Hockey..I've seen The Mars Volta. If you haven't, you sha'nt be disappointed. That's a good lineup you have, though. Looks sorta like my summer last year..lol

So far, all I have coming up is Lynard Skynard and Hank Jr, then Toby Keith later this summer. I found out about the Rockstar Mayhem tour today, but the only show I can make it to...I'll be 30min away and otherwise engaged..at at some friends' engagement party. Maybe if I go outside and cock my ear just right, I'll hear Joey Jordison's double bass..

I would REALLY like to see Slipknot and Mastodon.

There might still be hope, if I can convince my woman that she's up for a drive to Atlanta. Otherise, I'll have to find another metal show, SOMEWHERE.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the Mars Volta. I've heard nothing but good things about them. I've heard great things about Opeth and COB live too. Nightwish is probably going to be amazing also, I just wish they still had Tarja singing.

Dude, I'm gonna be at that same concert. Looking forward to it, especially if COB and Megadeth are as good live as I've been told.

I'm not a huge fan of their latest stuff, and I think they can get a little pretentious with their on-stage jamming, but Deloused In The Comatorium is one of the best (and becoming very influential in new bands) and most original albums ever put together. To listen to that album through headphones is an experience all its own.

And this was done after piloting At The Drive In, which was also completely original and has influenced countless artists in today's mainstream.

He may play certain phrases over and over, but that doesn't certainly doesn't mean it's not worthwhile. And keep in mind, he writes all the music for the songs..not just guitar parts. I'd say the guy has a proven record of success and appeal with fans, while still managing to avoid what some perceive to be the pitfall of superstar status.

I hope to see the Nails August 3rd in TO. Aside from that nothing too exciting.

Is anyone going to the Rockstar Mayhem Fest? Slipknot, Disturbed, Mastodon, and Dragonforce headlining, with:

    Machine Head
    Airbourne
    Five Finger Death Punch
    Walls of Jericho
Jagermeister Battle of the Bands Winner

    Underoath
    Black Tide
    Suicide Silence
    36 Crazyfists
    The Red Chord

I don't know any of the side stage performers, but of course know the headliners, except Mastodon. Anyone checking it out? I was planning to save my money to go to Ozzfest, but now I heard a rumor that Ozzfest is just going to be a 2 day event in Texas....

I talked my girlfriend into the DC Rockstar Mayhem show. I'm pretty excited about it. I've never seen Slipknot, and I had to give away some tickets to Mastodon at the last minute about a year ago. They're both in my top 5 metal bands.

If you haven't heard Mastodon, I would suggest you download some of their stuff. Hell, get it all and give it a listen. They're REALLY good.

Black Tide has a song on the radio. They played the main stage at Ozzfest last year because Jager booted them from the second stage when they found out no one in the band is older than 17. They're pretty good. I didn't know anything about them until recently, and I would never have known how young they were by how they sounded on the main stage. I was too far away to tell by looking at them..lol

Underoath is good. They play really hard, but it's a little repetitive. Airbourne is the band that has that single on the radio every 10min, and sounds just like AC/DC. "TOO MUCH TOO YOUNG TOO FAAAASSST!"

MAchinehead has been around for like...20 years. They're supposed to be great. I've never really given them a listen, though.

This is really one of the better metal festival lineups I've ever seen, though. Lots of good bands. I'm pretty excited about it.

I downloaded some Mastodon stuff, and I'm not a fan of the vocals. I guess I like thrashier, tougher sounding vocals. The guitars are pretty good. Idk... to each is own, but I'm really not a fan.
