    Flex during lift?

    i read you should flex as hard as you can while doing the lift. any truth?

    I think the reason it says that is so you make sure you are concentrating on that muscle. By squeezing them, you are focused on them. I may be wrong, but doubt it. : )

    well squeeze on contraction, but I mena, if you're doing a heavy enough weight, you don't really have a say in the matter.
