    When does progress start getting slow on the bench?

    im currently gaining about 5 pounds every 2-3 weeks on my bench press and am hoping for a 275 bench press (at 150-160lbs) by september, 365 (at 170-180lbs) in about a year and 2 months (june 09). also, i am not taking any supplements and will not. current protein intake is about 220g a day.

    so, as i get higher will it slow down to less than 5 lbs per month?

    yes most likely, i say after about a month or two you probably wont be able to talk on 5 lbs a month, unless your gaining allot of weight or getting help.
    i have three month sprints were i can put on 5-10lbs a month then i decline.
    200-300 didnt take long, 300-350 took a little bit of time, now this 350-400 seems like its taking forever.
    best thing to tell you for keeping on making progress is stay injury free, that will slow you down the most.
