    Romanian DL's vs DL's...big difference?

    Hi I'm still quite a newbie with deadlifts and I'm wondering if Romanian dl's are more advanced or how it differs from regular deadlifts?

    Exactly. RDL's are something I normally do on my leg day as opposed to deadlifts which are always on back day.

    With RDL's you use a narrow stance, don't bend the knees, keep butt back, and descend on each rep with the bar close to the body but don't touch the floor between reps. Sometimes they are used interchangably with "dimel" deadlifts.

    deadlifts start from the floor. rdl's are from the hang although some will deadlift the first rep (or half rep). rdl's are kind of like the top of a deadlift.
