    Novice here so take what I say with a grain of salt, but shouldn't the upper back be more straight/flat than round?

    I freakin laughed when I saw the slap. ROFL!!

    It looked like a wide stance Romainian deadlift. But hey, if it works and you're not prone for injury using that method, go for it.

    Shoulders rounding shouldn't be a problem.

    Holy old thread bump, but I'm kind of glad it was bumped because I use a similar form. Seems like it's ok as long as you don't feel like you're injuring yourself.
    22 - 5'10@236lbs!
    Bench - 325 (old)
    Squat - 455x2 (old)
    Deadlift - 500(old)

    Total: 1280lbs 100% raw

    he brought his back so that it was basically paralell to the ground

    not great form, IMO
