The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Simply put, if I don't know what I'm doing and I want to gain weight, I'm going to go to google and type in "weight gain supplement". That's my entry. To me it has nothing to do with size or strength. For those that really know about supplementation, they'll more than likely already be familiar with the product or with the company. You've gotta go after the people who have no clue what they talking about, and for that reason you've got to add in tags that are simple newbie phrases.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

just so you know, it's not meta tags, it's pay per click search engine terms.

But, it all comes down to... you are lokoing for a supplement that will help you gain weight, muscle and strength. you open up google........ what do you type?

Chub has the right idea I'd say though. Poeple that really know what they're doing will most likely know about Results already or will find it through a forum instead of simply searching on google. What would an average joe type into google if he wants something to help make him big/strong? Bodybuilding Supplement, Strength Supplement, Muscle Supplement, etc.

    how to get ripped
how to get a six pack
    how to get toned
    how to get slim
    how to look cut
    workout supplements
    building muscle
    weightlifting supplements
    weightlifting support
    adding to me lifting routine
    lose fat
    smaller stomach

I like to keep the ideas "newbie" a lot of people don't necessarily use proper terms and words like ripped, toned, and six pack are what they use or hear on TV.

Also maybe stick "review" on some of the phrases. When I think about trying a new supp I search on google "product x review".

Increased recovery, growth, muscle, lean mass, strength, endurance, anabolic, ergogenic, etc.

Also, I bet a LOT of people search for steroids, pro-steroids, test, and the like looking for the exact same things you advertise with Results. Obviously they aren't the same, but people interested in that stuff might also be interested in Results. You can also incorporate this by saying "non-steroidal" or "non-hormonal" or something.

Build muscle, lose fat, is also a good one.

    Dan,

Is this like the NBA, where we get a ping-pong ball for each suggestion? Or does each person responding (with a "sensible" suggestion, of course) have an equal shot at winning?

I think Chubs is right, probably something along the lines of "weight gainer," or maybe "bodybuilding supplements."

You could also go the pro-hormones/steroid route, but I think anyone searching those terms would be dissappointed when your product doesn't claim to provide "steroid-like benefits."
