The Journey to be the best!!

Hi everybody! My name is Brian. 16 years old, 5'6, 200 pounds...

I'm on my journey to become the greatest athlete in the world. I'll start by being the strongest pound for pound weightlifter... lol. The odds are stacked against me. But it's not about the goal that matters, it's about savoring the journey...

Here are my current stats (all raw. I don't even know where I can buy some gear!): (Pounds x Repetition/s)

    Conventional Deadlift 385 x 1
    Front squat 280 x 1
    Wide stance squat 350 x 1
    Bench press 245 x 1

I've taken 5 weeks of no training. My strength have probably disappeared already... My next step into my high school weight room will be at July 7.

During my 5 weeks of no training, I was forced to invent all sorts of exercises in an attempt to atleast maintain my strength. I have successfully added more mass to my quads by doing one legged bodyweight squats while holding a few light weights from my 100 pound barbell. I also did some one arm military presses using 60 pounds. For my upper back, I did one arm barbell rows.

Can you guys suggest me the best tasting protein powder you've ever tried? Doesn't matter if it's whey or casein... Anything tasty is good enough for me...

I will do my one legged bodyweight exercise tomorrow. But this time, I'll vary it a bit and raise my non working leg in front of me. It'll make it even tougher!

Is this what you are asking for? Just a post to have my link? I might have misunderstood...

But thanks a load for the props, homie! Let me know if I can help at all. Its very easy to get flamed on this forum, but it is by far my favorite. Don't take anything personal. I know I spent atleast 4 months lurking and reading before I ever made a real post. Read everything you can get your hands on, speak only when necessary, and do what the big guys do...For the most part, they are big for a reason!

And btw, I like Nitrean. I just got my first tub today and its pretty dang good. I've only tried chocolate, but I got a sample of strawberry and vanilla which I will try tomorrow.

Here was my home workout for today:

One legged squat (I balance on one foot, the other leg is positioned way behind me, I go down, and squat back up. All my weight is focused on my foot. I never let my raised leg touch the ground, except for my knees. It's really hard to expain, maybe I should videotape it.):

Deep, narrow stance front squats: 100 lbs. x 10 reps (warm up)
One legged squat: Bodyweight x 3 (The depth is like a 1/3 squat)
One legged squat: Bodyweight x 3 (The depth is like a parallel squat)
One legged squat: Bodyweight x 3 (As deep as it can get)
Concentric One legged squat: Bodyweight+15 pounds x 2
Concentric One legged squat: Bodyweight+15 pounds x 1
Concentric One legged squat: Bodyweight+15 pounds x 1
Concentric One legged squat: Bodyweight+15 pounds x 0 (failed)

The concentric version is done while my non working leg's knee is touching the ground, and then I pop up, driving with my other leg. It's like doing a concentric squat, only with one leg.

After a long hiatus, I'm back in my prime! Ready to lift again! I did a bunch of training after the weeks of no internet. Here are the stuff that I did from my last workout:

ME Zercher squat (Shoulder width stance) = 3 singles, 245 pounds
    Stiff leg deads = 5 sets of 6 to 8 reps, 225

ME overhead presses = 2 sets of 3 reps followed by one set of 2 reps followed by a failed attempt to lift 1 rep, 135 pounds
Pendlay rows (pausing at the bottom for about half a second)= 2 sets of 5 reps, 2 sets of 4 reps, 1 set of 3 reps followed by a negative rep, 185 pounds
DB bench = 6 sets of 8 reps, 70 pounders

    Speed deadlifts = 8 sets of 2 reps, 225

Speed DB bench = 8 sets of 3 reps, 50 pounders

I also did some grip work.
