The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    ? flat tire

I have always had trucks. now i drive a car. i ran over a curb earlier tonight and my tire blew. ive never had this happen before and i dont know if there is a hole punctured in the tire or not, it is dark.

when tires are blown by running over a curb is it as easy as putting more air into it, do i need patch, or do i need a whole new tire?

If your tire blew im going to go ahead and say theres a hole... basically just fill it up and listen. You'll be able to tell whats wrong with it.

did the tire actually 'blow'? i.e. : blow off the wheel into various peices of rubber?

whatever you do, don't drive with a flat. I got a flat and drove only two miles to a gas station to fill it up with air and ****ed up the tire, needed a whole new one. They told me that the rim wore the inside of the tire and it was shot.

If the bead just popped off, it's as easy as popping the bead back on and filling it with air. If you bent the rim, you need a new rim. If there's a hole in the tread you can try patch it or plug it, but if it's too large, you need a new tire. If there's a hole/gash in the side wall, you need a new tire.

thanks guys. I had to put a weenie tire on this morning. The impact of the curb put a hole in the sidewall. Its the fourth and I guess i dont have to worry about drinking and driving because it is embarrassing. lol

That happened to me a month ago. Damn curb stuck out 3" more than the one in front of it, and I pulled up and ramped over the damn thing. I got out and heard "PPPPPPPPPSSSSSSTSTTTTT" and though "Son of a bitch". Nice chunk out of the side, where there's really nothing to do about.

Stupid ass borough and their uneven curbing.

I used to work at a mechanic shop, if its on the sidewall you'll probably need a new tire. They won't patch it because of the risk of a blowout. You might have just made a small hole or something in the side of it but regardless they won't patch it unless its on the tread.
