I switched over from doing one body part per workout (working out 5 times a week) to working out every other day. Basically here's my routine:
Sun: Chest and Back
Thur: Shoulders and arms (bis and tris)
Sat: start over
I'm doing about 3-4 different exercises per body part, which is about 7-8 exercises per workout session (For legs though, I typically do 5 exercises). I do 4 sets on each exercise and usually 8-10 reps per set. Typically I take 50 min to do my workout. Also, I'm concentrating more on Compound Exercises and trying to avoid Isolated Exercises as much as possible.
I'm not doing any cardio yet, I've gone from about 20% body fat to about 18% in 6 1/2 weeks of training and a really clean cut diet. I might incorporate cardio once I get closer to the 10% body fat mark as I've heard that's when it becomes harder to lose fat.
What do you guys think? Is this routine better than working out one body part per workout? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,thanks!

thats a fine workout schedule if you need that amount of rest. compound exercises are better than isolated, but some isolated exercises are valuable. just lift hard and heavy, stay motivated. if that schedule becomes old and boring an easy switch would be:

i like mine, but i also dont work often so i have plenty of time to recover.
