The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Id say Mix things up slightly. A few Different Lifts. MIx up the training days, then plan an 8 week progression following a Week Off/ or a Light Week just working form and stretching your body out.
    HEAVY BENCH!!!

    Just Train Hard! Lift Heavy!!

Tonight's workout. Another cycle. Let's start this one with 6's.......

    MONDAY Nov 9/09

    Squats......................1 x 6 ~ 135, 165, 185, 205
    SLDLs.......................1 x 6 ~ 135, 145, 155, 175
    Wide Grip Pulldowns.....1 x 6 ~ 130, 140, 150, 165
    BB Rows....................1 x 6 ~ 125, 135, 145, 155

Okay. Meh. Was doing ok then I ended up talking to a guy about his situation. He approached me, I felt obligated to listen and so I offered him some help. So I didn't get to do my curls. Damn. Crap. Why did he have to talk to me? Why? Why am I so approachable? WHy??? I missed my darn curls.

Seriously though, I didn't mind helping him out. He's lost a bunch of weight (eating clean etc..) now he is stuck in a rut. He's bored and lost abit too. Made me think how much of working out is mental..........

I would like to change my workout days...unfortunately they are set. Not by me.....by the wife, life, stuff. hahaha

As for diff. lifts......will be doing that in the new year. I just started my next cycle. I'm looking at doing a week of 6's then 5's then 4's....down to 1's... Just in time for Christmas!
