    One week till my first PowerLifting Competition! :O Just wondering what my opening lifts should be.

    Based on my last three months, does anybody have any suggestions? I know they should be low enough to get a lift in. But I don't want to start out too low......or too high. Thanks!

    Saturday June 8/13

    Results from my first ever Powerlifting Competition!!!!

    Got to the school at 8:10 and weighed in. 214lbs EEK! Didn't want to drop that much weight, but oh well.

    I was the start for Flight "A" YAHHH I got to start the show! Talk about nerves! Me RAW with NO equipment (not even a belt) going along with the PROs hahahaha Good times.

    Squats - 9:45am
    1st - 120kg nailed it.
    2nd - 130kg got it. (Head judge told me not to bounce at the top)
    3rd - 140kg ground it out. Happy with that. Not quite the 325lbs I got before.

    Went out for lunch. Just got back and a guy said we were starting in 2 mins!! What? Had to warm-up quickly with Bruce. Put too much on for my 2nd warm-up. Damn! Messed me up, not used to darn Kilograms.....

    Bench - 12:35pm
    1st - 87.5kg just-not pretty (didn't wait for the judge to say "Bench" they gave it to me - newbie )
    2nd - 97.5kg got it- but a struggle
    3rd - 102.5kg - FAIL (did this in my gym last month - not Happy)

    Did lots of stretching and working myself up for Deads

    Deadlifts - 2:55pm
    1st - 134kg flew up
    2nd - 142.5kg easy
    3rd - 152.5kg got it. (really surprised how well I did there - still not the 375lbs I've done before thou)

    Total: 390kg.(858lbs)

    So all in all a good day. Except for the bench. My fault I know. Live and learn.

    Just got Back from Camping. I think this is the longest I have gone without a workout in a coon's age. Me thinks. I'm beyond weak. Just pathetic really. Will try to get the gym set-up once again this week. Ugh.
