For the past several weeks I've been doing a little less weight but doing around 6-8 reps on the bench. I wanted to switch things up and do 3x3 with heavier weights. I put up 185 and did it only once before giving out. Now before I was able to do it at least 2-3 times. I honestly felt like I got stronger while doing 6-8 reps, since I was increasing weights every week. I feel like I'm worryin way too much about this, but is it because my body isn't used to doing 3x3 that I wasn't able to put 185 for that many reps? I should mention that I've been on an odd sleeping pattern and my diet the past couple days was off since it was my birthday, so I'm sure that had some effect as well.
