Currently I don't have the money to buy gear, nor the time it takes to learn how to use it. I'd still like to get stronger in the squat though, and enter a few more raw competitions while I'm at it. With that said, should I still be trying to squat as wide as possible? Can super wide squatting still help my poundages even if I don't use gear? Is it safe for my hips?
