The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Even better than curling in the squat rack..

This makes kids who curl in the squat rack seem like elite body builders. I get to the gym and see a kid laying down in the squat rack with one dumbbell doing one arm floor bench press. His friend was straddling over him holding the dumbbell to spot him.

I should just have unracked the bar like he wasn't even there and did box squats on him as he tried getting up, but fortunately I think he got the hint when I stood there watching him in a mixed state of amazement and confusion so he moved out of the way pretty quickly. Plus he probably noticed the tree trunks I have for quads on my big ass self.

So this was your point wasn't it? You're longing for feedback about your "big ass self"?.. OK, you're a big ass ( that's full of yourself and needs to put down other people to make yourself feel better ).

First off, welcome to the forum "BigTallOx." I don't think you have a good grasp on my sense of humor or sarcastic attitude that I sometimes display here on WBB. So tough guy, why don't you lighten up a bit?

So yeah, I'm at the gym trying to do my one-armed dumbell bench press (with my friend spotting me of course), and some big mther f*er starts staring at me with this confused look! I don't think he even saw me, (what with his massive horizontal tree stickin out from his shorts) so I just left.

Its actually an exercise that a lot of guys who are trying to strenghten their support muscles for promoting balance and control, it also helps in strengthen support muscles to eliminate rotator cuff pain. Not sure why they were doing it on the floor, mostly seen it done on a bench. The spot is obvious since it is kind of an awkward movement.
