    What are static holds?

    What are static holds? Are they when you just lift the weight but don't lower it, for warming up?

    they are for improving your grip. you lift a heavy weight and hold it for as long as you can maintain grip.

    Farmers Walk., Seated Farmers...Even Shrugs some people would call static holds.

    Those are just a couple if you would like to try them.

    I am wondering, what kind of TIME would be optimal to use for these? 5-10 seconds? Or longer? Or what?

    I don't count the time. That is the point...just do them until you can't hold on anymore. The better the burn the better the build. Ya'dig??!!
