    Squatting pain, any help?

    I have been teaching my friend to squat and he says he gets a sharp pain around his groin region (inside of the thigh) when squatting. Only on one leg. I am curious if any of you know what this may be and how I can fix it, thanks!

    Tight hip flexor? Pain referral from tight SI joint? Who knows... Have him stretch, foam roll and gradually work down to a good depth.

    I had the same type of pain that your friend was describing in his groin region. I began stretching and foam rolling every day and the pain subsided. I agree with Deeder, give that stuff a try and see how it goes.

    Yep, stretching should solve the problem.

    Check out his form. Make sure he isn't leaning on one side when squatting.
