The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Spotting the Power Clean...

This is priceless, plus if you look at some of the other videos of this team power cleaning, they get better:

I didnt think it was possible to break your forearms with a power clean, but the skinny kid was close. Plus, if you listen, two of the guys were DE and one was a LB. If I was the opposig coach, I would be running itall day long.

90% of American high school football/strength "coaches" need to be shot.

agreed, i think back to some of the ******ed **** our coaches had us do in H.S. I'm surprised no one was killed.

We were fortunate, later, to get someone who actually knew what they were doing.

I'm very fortunate to have a solid group of coaches and trainers. We do however, have one coach who is a complete douchebag. Worst coach i've EVER had by far.

that actually would have been funny if the guy actually had any speed off the floor and the bar jacked the coach in the face

What a stupid thing to do. If that kid had dropped that bar it would wrecked that guys arms. What ever happened to just letting good ol' gravity doing the spotting for that

Youtube can be pretty amusing... if you type in anything pertaining to HS football lifts you get some great videos. Screaming quarter squats, horrible rib crushing bench presses, and "power cleans" or whatever you want to call the lift that this guy was attempting.

Thats why I hold Defranco in such high regard. If most high school coaches would just look at alot of the FREE info he and all the guys at EFS have put out, they would be shocked at the results.

I agree 100% with this statement. There is so much Info on these two sites, it is a shame coaches do not take advantage of it.......

They probably are just ingnornat and don't know about it, or are too stubborn to change the way they've been doing it for years. Dagnammit, if it worked for them then it MUST be the best and ONLY way!

I didn't see anything wrong with the last video. However, the first two were hilarious. It looked like the whole school turned out to watch that guy. The thumbs up in the middle of the video made me fall off my chair.
