The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

anyone knows of any good workout progress programs. Which you add your routine and add how many reps and weights you did for that day. and then you could view your progress..?

Why don't you just use excel?
    Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei

I'm almost ready to release a major (free) revision of a workout program I wrote. Should be ready in about a week. I'll start a thread with links at that time. If you want to play around with the older version of the program for awhile, send me a PM with your email address in it and I'll email it to you.

The problem I have with the software out there is that none of it does anything I want it to do. Its basically a glorified journal. If I ever get my relational database and VB skills up to par, I'll write one that will give some kick-ass data, like keeping track of volume, intensity zones, etc, and make up graphs detailing that **** so you can get an idea of how things are working.

Bah... not in VB, please don't. Why would anyone waste their time learning a proprietary, limited, and insecure language like VB? Keep going with your relational DB skills (preferably Oracle) and learn an open language like Java or if you don't want it easily distruted across multi-platforms and the web, then C++. But, for goodness sake, not VB. It's the source of 99% of the worlds computer virii today. I know it's easy to learn, but give yourself more credit than that!

I actually know Java and C++ *fairly* well, but not enough to develop a program with them. VB has been the easiest to work with for me so far-- but you're right, I'd much rather use something else.
