The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Ronnie Colemans 800 Dl Video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLo4XAtamUM

The guy is a beast, one of my favorite bodybuilders of all time. Am I the only one that noticed the bar weight is "only" 795 lol? Either way, he looked good for 850. I have met him a few times and a nicer guy you will never meet. To do such a huge DL only a few weeks out from the Mr O has to garner alot of respect. I know the video is old but had to put it back up in case someone hasn't seen it yet, good inspiration.

Success is achieved by doing a little more than you thought you could, and a lot more than anyone else.

but he had to used and gloves
with as much muscle mass he has on him he should be one of the strongest men on the planet, but guys that are 75lbs less then him can out lift him
guess its what you train for.

muscle does not equal strength, thats why there is such an emphasis on cns and technique training in powerlifting.

Andrew, actually, muscle DOES equal strength all other things being relative. The bigger your contractile fibers get the more force they can produce. To OPTIMIZE strength you need to max out both contractile hypertrophy and your nervous system.

Ronnie is definitely one of my favorites! A true beast of a man!

Ronnie is definately one of my favorites! If you don't already know he was a powerlifter before he was a bodybuilder. That might explain his love of heavy weights compared to the average bodybuilder!

Hahaha, helluva man! Its humbling to try to be a good strongman and still get out pulled by a bodybuilder, but at the same time he is "THE" bodybuilder. So I don't feel so bad. ;p
