Thanks Coke, deloading isn't always fun but it's necessary.

    Wednesday 3/17 - Deadlift/Upper Back Assistance

    Sumo Deads (raw)
    135 x 5
    225 x 5
    315 x 3
    405 x 3
    500 x 1
    550 x 1
    585 x 1
    600 x 1

    HS Iso Low Row
    3pps x 10
    3.5pps x 10
    4pps x 10

    HS Standing Shrugs
    3pps x 10
    4pps x 10
    5pps x 10
    5pps x 10

    HS Lat Pulldown (underhand)
    2pps x 10
    2pps x 10

    Reverse Pec Deck
    3 sets of 12

    Preacher Curl Machine
    3 sets of 12

Done. I hit 600 in the gym today for the first time, just 6lbs off my all-time raw meet PR of 606. The 585 was smoked and the 600 felt solid. Right after my second to last pull, some guy asked me if I could do "that" with one of the crappy bent bars because I was pulling with the gym's only good bar... I said no. Are you kidding me? GTFO.

Ha, what a moron. Surely that deserved a jab to the adams apple.

Great pulling Pete. When is your next meet?
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

Funny you should ask as I'm looking on powerliftingwatch for one now. It looks like it'll be an APC (not really familiar with this fed) meet on April 17th. It's kind of short-notice (4 weeks out), but after that there's nothing in my area until mid to late summer.

Yeah peaking is probably not the right term... how about "not get weaker and maybe get a little stronger"?
