I've only worn wraps a few times in training and once in a meet, but that was a year ago. I might just bring them to help me cheat if I need a few extra pounds.

I have no idea where this place is, Google maps shows me a house when I type in the address... so it might be in some dude's garage for all I know. I'm wondering if they'll have a monolift?

Thanks for the support guys! I was going to weigh-in this morning and cut down to 220, but I couldn't take the morning off from work, so I had to do it tonight. I weighed-in at 225.9, so 220 was well within reach, but it's not a big deal. Goal for tomorrow is 1500 raw.

    Saturday 4/17 - MEET WRITE-UP

I competed today at the APC Illinois States. I weighed-in at 225.9 so I went 242 in the Men's Open Raw Division. My goal was to go 1500 raw, but I fell short. My squats didn't feel good at all, my bench was okay until the 3rd attempt, but my deadlift felt awesome.

    Here's how it went down:

    Squats
    Opener: 192.5kg/424.2lbs - Good Lift
    2nd Attempt: 207.5kg/457.2lbs - Good Lift (grinder)
    3rd Attempt: 215kg/473.7lbs - Good Lift (gift?)

My weight loss has sent my squat down the crapper. My 2nd squat was a grinder, and I was thinking about passing on my 3rd. I decided to move my stance in and try and cut the squat higher than I usually do, and I felt I was a bit high... but I got three white lights. Go figure. I tied my raw PR, albeit with wraps on this time. I wrapped myself, and I suck at wrapping, so it may have been a wash.

    Bench
    Opener: 150kg/330.5lbs - Good Lift
2nd Attempt: 160kg/352.5lbs - Good Lift (+5.5lb Raw Meet PR)
    3rd Atttempt: 170kg/374.7lbs - No Lift

First two lifts felt great, couldn't lock out the 3rd one. Frustrating.

    Deadlifts
    Opener: 250kg/551lbs - Good Lift
    2nd Attempt: 272.5kg/600.7lbs - Good Lift
    3rd Attempt: 282.5kg/622.7lbs - Good Lift (+16.5lb Meet PR)

Deads felt great from warmups to all three attempts. I feel I left a good 30-50lbs on the platform on the deadlift. Oh well.

All in all I had a good time. Nothing but nice people at the meet. There was a high school lifting team competing there, a lot of kids competing for the first time and having fun. Cool to see. I'm not thrilled with my performance, but I still hit a 20lb raw meet total PR at 10lbs lighter bodyweight, and I went 8 for 9 on my attempts. I may be changing my training up after this, I just need to re-evaluate what works for me and what doesn't first.

    Nice ****ing job Pete!!

That last pull could have been your opener, lol. Should be proud mate. Your hit a PR total. Must have been a great feeling to get all three squats on the board. Good boost.
