    First Meet: Nov. 15

    Hello everybody,

More of just an informative post, I am now 2 weeks out from my very first meet (the So Cal Regional Championships). I will be competing in the Junior 198's, and looking to total at least 940 (~300 Squat/~230 Bench/~410 DL).

I am in the last week of training before the meet. Here is a video of last night's squat.

If you experienced lifters have any advice, I'd be happy to hear it (and yes, I will be opening light).
    Currently: 6'3", 220#, 295/235/430

    Goals (for now): 230#, 355/260/445

Some time in the distant future: 275#, 750/500/750

Nice squat. You're below parallel, which is wasted energy at a meet. But there's no argument that you got depth.

I've been having trouble hitting depth, so that's why I tried to bury it. My hip flexibility is a major issue for me.

Since you are a week out, take it easy or don't even bother much with going to the gym. Just relax, recover, and SFW at the meet!

Great advice from Reko. REST.... Your meet is for your max attempts, not the gym a few weeks before event.
Open with lifts you know you can make.
Your squat was nice and deep,no worries there.

Best of luck, let us now how you do.
