    at what point do you switch; bulk or cut

    what %, if any, is your general guideline for bulking and cutting
    eg. "im looking to be around 17%; time to cut!"

    primals right mate, I stop bulking when my abs are barly visable (im vain) around 12-16%bf

    When you feel it's right. Typically, when your abs disappear, that's when many start cutting. I've been on a 7 year bulk, for the most part. I'll probably finish off at the end of this year and start trimming back. I'm hoping to get to 270 at year's end and then cut back to 250 or so.

    Bulk when you want to get bigger more than you want to get leaner. Cut when you want to get leaner more than you want to get bigger.

    Pretty simple.

    no no, this isnt so much advice for me
    but it is me asking at what point each of you would make the choice
    just out of interest
    ive never seen my abs
    hahah
    would be nice to though..

    I set a goal several years ago to get to a 'finish' weight of 250 (6' tall). Basically, I've been bulking since - over 7 years now. I'm hoping by the first of the year to be 265-270 and then I'll start cutting. Maybe I'll have a 6 pack, but not a goal of mine.
