APF/AAPF Rise of the Deadlift Results...

    10-18-08

    AAPF Rise of the Deadlift

    Meet Results

1st Attempt: 518 no good (went up so fast I was surprised and beat the "down" command)
2nd Attempt: 567 good! (Meet PR)
    3rd Attempt: 578 good! (all-time PR, +8 lbs)

Great meet. I felt like I had more left and could have done 584.

Here is video of the 578 pull:

I also saw some other great deadlifts. My wife, Lynn, pulled 336 at a mere 131lbs for a meet PR and a State and National Record in AAPF. I saw Ernie Lilliebridge, Jr. pull 727 RAW, at only 22 years old. I also saw Jason Patrick pull an easy 810 lbs and JUST missed (grip) on 848lbs. The guy is just HUGE.

Our deadlifts are pretty close right now. I'm hoping for a 585+ pull at my next meet.

Nice, Pete! I couldn't see the vid (can't see YouTube at work) but I'll check it out later. Very nice progress you've made since you started your journal. I'll be keeping an eye on it from now on.
