Addressed to SGT ROCK or whoever, I love too deadlift and so I was excited too read about the deadlift program but I have a few questions? Is this program appropriate for a strictly raw lifter? On speed days are we suppose to just follow a three week WBB wave, and do we do speed squats and deads? Also because were doing alot of back work on deadlift day, should we lay off of back work on upper body day or just take it lightly? Thanks Derek

To answer a bunch of other inquiries in one shot here, my most recent contest was WABDL worlds where I went 3 for 3 with a 755 pull at 234bw to win the open 242 class (the gent in 2nd did 751 so I took what I needed to win). I pulled a solid 775 in training for that show. I did a version of that routine for the worlds, very similar but had to make adjustments to train around a few injuries and to try out a DL suit I had not yet worn in a contest (Velocity). I have been modifying that routine and am still using a similar routine now to peak for my next contest. The basics of the routine are to mix it up and work your weaknesses. It is easy to train your strengths, but often hard to grind out work that will take care of your weaknesses.
that seems like a lot of volume on the back work, has anyone tried this?
