I'm not gonna compete this year but i prepare myself like I'm gonna compete for my summer vacation.. you know,in the beach you feel like every girl is looking at you :P It's a big challenge!!(I'm 17y.o)

I hope to go to a competition real soon, to see what its all about. I've seen the Mr. O contest on TV, but I bet its nothing like the real thing!
I was wondering how long it is supposed to take to lose 5%bf when you are cutting. I'm just trying to figure out how to gauge my progress. I'm at 15% and wish to be at 10% by the end of february and 4-5% by the end of april. Any input would be appreciated.

Just a pup: It all depends how you diet and how severly you restrict calories. You could loose a massive amount of fat in one month say 10% but you would loose a load of muscle with it and put your health at risk.
I like to diet gradually, up to 18 weeks before a show to slowly strip all excess fat away and preserve as much lean muscle as possible.
I would say 3%fat loss a month is a good mark for you and dieting at this rate will allow you to preserve lean muscle too. Thats roughly how much BF I would loose each month during most of my contest prep, remember that the leaner you are the harder it is to loose fat so to get down to 4-5% will be a gradual process.
