So far after two sessions of deficit deads (using 25s instead of 45s) I can really see where my problems are. My one rep max is around 400 and I find repping out 250 while trying to keep good form is quite difficult. These definately force you to use your legs and if you don't you'll know. The weight is light but the motion is difficult to keep perfect. I think this is going to be the best thing for my deadlift.
I like them a lot too. But I'm too lazy to pile on 25's so I just stand on a 3-4" platform.
I did them again today. I decided to try 315 for a single and see what happens. I can do 335x5 without too much problems. 315 literally flew up like it was nothing, literally.

I never had the speed off the floor. 315 would come up slow but after a certain point it was easy. This time the bar actually accelerated through the lift very very well this time.
They really helpes me develop speed off of the floor.
