The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Commands in the BP

Last time I competed was 12/07 in a USAPL full meet... I took 5-6 months off from lifting and am considering a comeback at a 12/13 APA meet.
I remember when I benched in the USAPL meet, there were 3 commands in the BP. "Start" "Press" and "Rack"
Previously, when I benched in the APA (2006), there were only two commands "Press" and "Rack"
Can anybody tell me if the "Start" command is now used in all feds, or is it just a USAPL thing?
    Thanks!

I think USAPL, NASA and USPF use a start command. I'm not positive about USPF though

APA does not use a start command, I believe they do however use a press and rack command

USAPL has a start, press & rack command.
NASA has only a press & rack command.

Just take a look at the rulebook. Looks like there is only a press and rack command.

APA does not have a start command in the bench. Only press and rack. Soft handoffs are not allowed in APA, but you can usually get away with it if it's not too exaggerated. The start command (in USAPL and others) makes the soft handoff impossible.

In the APF/AAPF, it's just "Press" and "Rack", no "Start"

I know that WABDL and APF both just use "Press" and "Rack", also.
