Our schools powerlifting club works out 4x a week mon-thur. They have us on a full body routine each day. Im sore every day i workout out after mon and its starting to effect my lifts. my coaches say that just cause im sore doesnt mean my lifts should be effected. could i be over training?
full body routine 4 times a week? Are you sure you joined the powerlifting club?
that doesn't sound like a real good routine.
When did you start this 4x/wk training? A new program can cause a lot of soreness initially. You have to adapt to the new lifts, the volume, the frequency, etc., and then the pain goes away.
How's your eating and sleeping habits?

Yeah, to be honest, I don't know that I've ever heard of any successful powerlifting squatting, benching and deadlifting 4 times a week. if your lifts are going down, I'd say that you may be overtrained but even more important than that, the program isn't working if you're getting weaker.
Not to insult your coach or anything, but thats a really ridiculous program
Couldnt agree more im most likely going to quit the club and work out on my own. I was using defrancos westside really liked it and it helped a ton

I don't see any way your body could effectively recover from hitting every bodypart 4 days in a row. I'm with Travis on this one. Ridiculous is a good way to discribe it.

Is it really a "powerlifting" club or is it more a beginner's barbell training club?? That would make a big difference in what's "good" or "bad" about the program.
...although bench, squat, and dead 4x/wk is a bit crazy.
WOW,never saw a program like that before.Who is in charge of this? Is it a coach,our some kids that started the program?
You can get a much better program from one of the powerlifters/trainers on this site.
You have the rest,diet good,but your training way too much.Most,but not all PL's train their core lifts once a week,and add asst. exercises 1-2 days a week.

Thanks guys. I was pretty sure that workout was over kill. my football coaches are running the program. Ill ditch the club and go back to defrancos westside for skinny bastards. I really like that and saw some good gains from it before this season.
Youll be posting higher #s more than your overtrained buddies. That split is loco.
