High rep deadlifts from last night

Here's my 5th set of 10 with 365lbs completely raw. Second week of conventional deadlifts and next week it will be back to sumo. I don't know how I pulled conventional for so long... It feels so wrong now that I've been pulling sumo for a while.

This isn't the best angle for comments on form. I might put up one of the other vids tonight that was taken from the side. Anyway check it out:

    Video

    Edit:

This one was my second set. Better angle for form comments/tips.

Actually form wise they looked really good. You could tell when you tired because your hips would shoot up, but there's not much you can do about that at such high reps. Nice work.

Thanks! The same thing seems to happen to me with near max weights. I almost think I should just pull straight leg sometimes haha

To be honest, the first thing i notice was how much your chest sticks out... you must have some mass under that shirt

Meh, I'm lazy... what is your current height/weight?

You look considerably thicker than the last time I saw a pic of you, looking huge. Weight flew up, strong as an ox. Great job.

Haha thanks man. I don't do nearly as much cardio as I should so I feel pretty damn lazy/sweaty a lot of times.

I must not have put up many vids/pics since last summer... I put on about 40lbs over 4 months last year and I've been very slowly creeping up since. I think I've only put on about 15lbs since this time last year.

Honestly though, after I saw your transformation I've been wishing there was some way I could cut down and not lose any strength. My goal is to go to Junior Worlds next summer and that won't be happening if I drop down a weight class for nationals and lose a bunch of strength.

    Looking thick Deed. Nice work.
A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook
