    How much do collars weigh?

    Does anyone know how much your average spring collars weigh? Did some searching and couldn't find it.

    Just count the bar and collars as 45 and call it even.

    The two of them together weigh just under 1lb.

    Since I only increase my weight every week by 2lbs I take a pair of 1lb ankle weights and add those to the bar. My wife don't use them so I figured I would put them to use. Allows me to go up the 2lbs at a time that I need to. Works great.

    Spring collars = 0.5lbs
    Old school screw collars = 2.5lbs
