I was there, George was LIGHT that day as well. He is a TECHNICIAN on the bench. Most of the guys to do 600 were over 300lbs, which isn't even DOUBLE BODYWEIGHT, George, Jeremy and Rock Louis all do it LIGHT which is MUCH MORE IMPRESSIVE! He touch and go'ed the weight but I am sure if G wanted to train for a raw show could put up 600 at a super light bodyweight.
George is one of the nicest people I have ever met, and I truly admire him.

you are right about the touch and go sgt rock, but i was less than five feet away in the cage when he did it and it was spectacular.. and about george being a nice guy is a understatment. he is a guy with no ego or atitude. when i trained at wsb with him and wolfe and the rest of the bench crew, he treated me the same as everyone else and i was the small guy in the crowd. he can remember everyones poundages and knows how to make everyone perform at there peak.. george is a legend among legends and will continue setting the the standard in the benching community..

MAN THANKS FUNNY. WHEN I WENT TO WESTSIDE I WALKED IN, SAID HELLO TO LOUIE WHO POINTED ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, WALKED OVER AND WAS TOLD " BE READY WHEN YOUR F--CKING TUEN IS UP. " AND THAT WAS IT. NO NAMES JUST LIFTERS. I WENT ON TO HAVE ONE OF THE BEST WORKOUTS TO DATE. I DIDNT TRAIN WITH GEORGE'S CREW THOUGH IT WAS THE 930 CREW I WAS THERE WITH

i still have yet to see a 600 raw bench. seen a few attempts, but they were never good.

there is a gymrat in my gym who has benched 600+. the form was sloppy and it wouldn't have passed in a meet. he used no leg drive, it was actually pretty amazing. i haven't seen him in forever, but he doesn't powerlift, he lifts for the hell of it.
Hoornstra and nick winters will be at the Arnold Classic in the Animal cage benching over 600 again this year. Hoornstra hit 635 aqnd took a stab at 675 stalling just over halfway up.

Everyone listed-- Ryan Celli and Will Lynch top lighter guys. You got joe luther doin 420 and joe mazza doin 440 both at 165.

Big Ben Graves just hit 615 this weekend at 308. He has worked with Josh Bryant for a few years, who himself is a big 600 plus bencher.

****, Andy bolton has hit 600 raw.

Ive seen Frenkle blast 495 in the IPA Pro warmup room before getting in the shirt to break the 198 record of 760... he is doin 820+ now!
