Coke- thanks bro, it has been a fun couple weeks.

Flynn- I figured out that my arms, mainly my forearm flexors, were sore due to the heavy deads I did the day before my bench sessions. I changed my routine up a bit so that I have the heavy deads before the weekend and it definitely did the trick, no arm pain at all

    another strong day

I saw some fliers in my gym for the "Strongest Boilermaker" strongman competition at my school (Purdue). I'm definitely thinking about joining this it is April 14 or 19 can't remember. My workout partner is on the rugby team so he has access to a bunch of tires and sleds that we can train with. The events are the boilermaker special pull (it is our mascot train, same as a truck pull), Purdue "P" carry (I'm guessing just a big "P" we have to carry a certain distance), Tire flip, hammer hold (no idea?), and farmers walk. Should be a fun time.

Anyway my lifts tonight were as follows:

    Rack deads (right below knees)
    225x10
    315x5
    405x5
    495x3
    585x1
    605x1, damn that was heavy

    BB lunges
    95x10 each leg
    145x10 each leg
    165x5 each leg

    Hamstring curl

    25x10 each leg
    60x10 each leg
    95x5 each leg

    Leg press
    315x8
    405x8
    495x5
    585x5x2

    DC calves
    warmup w/ BW calf raises x 10 x 3
    265x4

    Pull ups
    BWx10x3

    Low cable rows

    120x8
    140x8
    160x8

Wow, just access to the strongman training alone would make me hyped.

The rack deads and leg presses are big time.

I like the way you have changed up your session to incorporate some of the SM stuff. Bet those quads are aching after pushing that jeep around!!

Also, killer numbers on the Sq and Floor press though duder. Nice work.

Thanks man! My legs are definitely sore haha. That truck push was so taxing I almost passed out a few times. It was fun holdin the 150's too, they were collecting dust in my gym.

    Thanks for the support guys.

If any of you have DB's at home post up some of your best times for the crucifix hold. I wanna see how I match up.

These are my best so far

15lbs each hand - 1 minute, could have gone a bit longer
    5lbs each hand - 3 minutes 20 seconds

Coke and flynn- thank you both for the kind words.

This strongman stuff is loads of fun, and damn is it grueling. It doesn't help that it is barely 30 degrees F out here (-1 degrees C).
