I am training for a meet and am 7 weeks out. Need some info on how to prepare for meet and training for the last two weeks prior to meet. Currently training using percentages and one bodypart a day training.

Plan to hit your openers 1-2 weeks before meet day. Get in some good work 2 weeks before, but don't go nuts. A week before, get plenty of rest. Do some light lifting and/or cardio and eat plenty.

When does the weigh in for a meet typically take place?

It depends on the meet. Typically you can weigh in several hours before the meet starts or the day before the meet. If you plan to cut weight, I would always try to do it at a meet where the weigh in is the day before.

You don't need to deload (or drop your load) until the last week before the meet. Like I said, just do some light work that last week and rest up.

Making 198 from 203 is pretty simple. There are plenty of threads about cutting weight here.

If this is your first meet the weight will likely drop from nervousness alone. Best of luck
