Tore my ACL, medial maniscus and level 1 sprained my MCL back in August playing basketball.
Had surgery September 10th to reconstruct my ACL (using an anterior tibialus tendon allograft) and clean off my maniscus, and have doing rehab since (starting 1.5 days after surgery, ug).
Currently my routine consists of :
Everday: stepper, eliptical, stationary bike, stretching, extension/flexion training
3/4 times a week: lunges, light weight squats, leg curls/extensions, leg press, durband training(around knees or ankles), stability training(1 leg stands, squats on half sphere ,etc.)
I just started doing an upper body routine again (yesterday), working chest/bis tues, back/tris thurs and shoulders thrown in there somewhere
Anyway, to my questions:
Does anyone know of good resources for 3-6 month ACL reconstruction rehab procedures and goals? My surgeon as of last Friday, said what I was doing was good, and that I should just add in the extensions. But I want more!
Does anyone have personal experience with such an injury?
