Car & Truck Performance, Mods, and Upgrades

I just bought my truck in September, and have been playing with it since. It's a 2005 Chevy Crew Cab Z-71. It came with the windows tinted, nerf bars, rain guards over the windows, and bug deflector. Since then, I've added the Line-X bedliner, Flowmaster exhaust, and a Kenwood DVD-Receiver in the dash. It is stock with Bose Speakers, so I won't be fooling with it any.

Now I'm wanting a lift kit, new wheels and new tires, but those are probably going to be held off til the spring. I'm thinking I may get some Bushwhacker Fender Flares and maybe aftermarket headlights.

In the meantime, I'd like to find a car to restore, too.

Anyone else playing with their automobiles? Or have kick ass pictures of trucks/cars you really like?

Oh yeah, I need a K&N intake, too! Any advice on sites or stores that sell these things at more reasonable prices?

Yeah man all the time. I've always got something going. Its a little side buisness with my dad and I. Heres a cool 88 mustang 5.0 we just sold. Not the greatest looking cars in my opinion, but you can't beat the amount of power you get for the price. The current project is a 1991 240sx, should be up for sale in the next week or so.

You can build your own intake. Its not too hard. Buy a KN cone filter, some hosing, a big enough tube and thats it! If you want it cold you will have to fabricate a box or something.

    Ive got a 97 Grand Cherokee 5.2liter

    Ive put in

Headers, highflow cat, magnaflow muffler, Big fat MSD ignition, Cold ram air intake, supercharger, computer reprogram, 2''lift w/ 32x1150s-for looks- (its a 2wd), 4.10 gears to compensate for the tires

    its still slow.

That Mustang is awesome, man. My cousin had one when I was a kid and I remember thinking how badass those 5.0's were. Sweet rides.

I've contemplated building my own intake, but I really don't trust my handywork, lol. I'm really religious about my truck, too, so if people check under the hood, I don't want them to see a shabby job I've done.

Resto-modding a 67 mustang vert with a 2jz-gte single turbo in it. (go ahead and flame all you want, but I'll see you on the highway =D ), and I want to go as modern/exotic luxery on the interior as I can, want it to look like a super car inside

03 Tundra - 3in. lift, 35's, fiberglass tonaeu, westin bull guard and nerf bars, tints, leather and wood, Pioneer navi with clarion components and a single pioneer 10.

02 gsxr 750 - bought stunted out (learning to ride on), but cleaning up and upgrading when I see fit. I'm still a newer rider.

I like my toys, they don't talk back and will never run around on you lol

Nice man. I always like seeing people do what they want with their classics. Its annoying when people like to **** on you for resto modding YOUR car. I like the stuff Mr. Angry has done with his 68 Charger and 69 Daytona clone (He was on the tv show "Bull Run", now does races, and commentary for car domain etc...) I've got other videos but a few of the good ones were deleted for copy right infringement (65 mustang fastback, 67 Cougar).

yea, I live in a retirement community and they have what they call a "drive-in" night, where all the classics get together once a month and have a huge car show in the town square. People always have mixed feelings about it, they like the originality ( i've seen it done numerous times) and the numbers it puts down. They talk **** about keeping it original until they find out it's a 750+ hp monster that'll pull the dress off your grandmother in her grave. I have the car running great, but the drivetrain needs a little more work, and then I'll start on the body and interior when everything else is done.

    Dude..wow.

67 is my favorite of the stangs...I had mine for about 8 years before I let her go when moving from house to house...it hurt but had to let her go.

Currently I have a 1978 Chevy Step side...has a 350 with the typical bolt ons, headers, intake manifold, dual 2.5 exhaust...etc. 4in rancho suspension, 33x12.50s...sad part is I have not driven it in 4 years...

But my current baby is my 2004 VW R32..coil overs, cold air and a reflash, and a couple sets of wheels...some time when I have time/money it will receive some form of FI, most likely turbo. This car is a BLAST in the snow.

Then I also have a 1996 maxima which is my daily...though the 4thgen max is no slouch...when she is running properly she catches a lot of cars off guard.

And thats about it, besides the monster but thats a bike

Mine is a 1500. I'm adding that cam to my Christmas list.

And yes, everyone, let's add bikes to the fray, too. I've been looking at some and really would like to ride. I used to have a dirtbike as well. Gah, this thread is gonna make me go broke working on my truck, and then going out and buying a new bike or dirtbike to put in the bed of it!

I like the truck, bro. My buddy has one similar to that except it's all black, and it looks good. Similar wheels, too.

I actually bought myself a 1988 GMC Sierra 3500 Dually this week. I pick it up on saturday. It is a 7.4L (454) with a 700R4 transmission and a dash mounted lockup switch. It got a stainless 3'' exhaust from the Y pipe back, and has stainless flowmaster tips. The engine was recently rebuilt with a comp RV/ towing cam and edelbrock intake. Only been through 1 winter.

    Heres the pictures.

    any love for the imports?

I have an 07 nissan 350z pretty much stock. Since it's fairly new and the engine is different than all of the previous years, modding isn't too easy, so the only mods I have right now are a 60mm catback exhaust and 3-way adjustable front and rear sway bars. When I get home from school for the summer I plan on buying wheels and tires, an intake, and finishing the suspension with coilovers and a front and rear camber kit. Then maybe some high flow cats if I have some extra money left over.
