I suffer from patellofemoral pain (http://familydoctor.org/online/famdo...uries/479.html) in both my knees if I do any appreciable amount of squatting. Performing some physical therapy exercises that strengthen the muscles around my knees, in addition to icing and taking ibuprofen, goes along way in combating the pain.

That said, I really want to keep squatting three days a week, and the pain is starting to get more serious than it has been in the past.

Is there any benefit to purchasing knee wraps and wearing them when I am lifting?
