The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    *Video* Squat training 12/16

So, I've been on here for a while and do an awful lot of talking so I figured I'd better start making some vids to prove that I actually do train. I went out and got myself a Flip Mino for Christmas and used it for the first time last night. My goal is to start recording some of my training and sharing/posting it on my Youtube site. In the future I'll keep the explanations brief but I figured since this my first vid I'd preface it with a little about my training. As some of you know I've only been really powerlifting for just over a year now. I'm actually just starting to get my strength back after having to take an almost three month layoff from July through September due to some serious family issues. And when I say lay off, I mean it. I didn't even go for a walk for almost three months!!! So i had just built up a really good, super strong base when this lay off happened. So right now I'm building that back up until mid January or so when I'll start getting ready for a meet in April. In the video I'm weighing in at about 360-365, which is really fat for me.(another bye product of doing nothing) Funny I watched the video and I see what a fat **** I am. I'm working on getting down to 315-320. Eventually I'd like to get down to around 285-295 and lift there. All in all the lifting on the video felt good even though I was shot; I didn't even start lifting until almost 10PM after getting up at 7AM, but, that's what I have to deal with so I just do it. I had done a TON of hamstring work on Saturday so I was surprised I wasn't more fatigued actually. All the lifting is raw. I didn't record all the warm up stuff I did, so in the vid the lifting is:
    315 X 3
    405 X 2
    465 X 2
    495 X 1
525 X 1 X 2 Did a second rep because the first, as you'll see, was a mess, from set up to re rack. After the first I just stormed around for about a minute and hammered the second.
405 X 8 I just felt like grinding a bit to end the night. I love this ****.
After that I did some reverse hypers and went the hell home.

You are a big man! Good work on the squatting. The only thing I would recommend is that you try to find a box which is roughly 2" lower so that it takes you to just below parallel.

Yeah, I have one that is lower, it depends on how motivated I feel when I get there!!!
