First, your comment under your name is stupid.

Second, I think that piece of equipment is not bad if your goal is merely to get into shape. If you wish to add an appreciable amount of muscle and strength, then that equipment will not do.

If you were God, you would realize the folly of your statements. If you were God, you would not ask the questions you are asking. As you are not God (in my opinion), you should realize that your little claim may offend some people. As a matter of fact, it offends me.

That apparatus is better than training without resistance. It will allow some gain of muscle mass. Like I said, it depends on your goals. That apparatus will not allow you to maximize muscular growth in the fashion that you could with other machines and free weights. As an example, I think an apparatus like that will allow you to have a physique like that of a male model if you trained properly and ate the proper diet (to have the low bodyfat level required to look that way). If that is your goal, then I think that machine will be fine.

That particular bench is terrible, even as far as multi gyms go.I had an almost identical one to that many years ago,and it sucks big time. The bar is attatched to a slider mechanism which has a terrible movement to it,even when well oiled. The bench has terrible padding and is very wobbly as it sits on a very thin beam underneath. There does'nt seem to be a lying leg curl bar on the leg extension. The pec deck looks very feeble etc etc etc.Try and afford a better one if ya can.

Like Chris said if your looking to be toned like a model, that equipment is ok. But if your looking for muscle and size your better off with free weights, a good adjustable bench and a powerrack.

Yes, it looks as though that machine can do many more exercises and is more stably build. But, as Chris said, It all depends on your goals. Um.. what are your goals anyways?

Its a rock solid bench with multi adjustable uprights which double up as a dip station. The bench can be adjusted from flat to 90 degrees, so is great for benching and seated work like shoulder pressing and seated dumbell curling etc.The leg extension looks really solid and is the six roller type, which means you can perform leg curls aswell as leg extensions. The bench padding is very thick and rests on a substantial cross beam, which means no digging in the back and no wobbling.Yo would get the 100kg weights set which comes with a 72" inch bar and 2 16" dumbells.

That bench will only give you those rock solid abs and super defined muscles when used shirtless with super tight, ultra-gay black spandex shorts with blue racing stripe!

    Hmmm.

If you WERE God, then you would know how crappy your choices for equipment really are. With the stuff you showed here, you MIGHT get strong enough to push a lawn mower once a week.

If you listen to the great lifters here, they'll help you get on the right track.

Everyone is pushing this guy toward barbells, but some people (like myself) don't feel comfortable doing BB lifts without a spotter. Since he's going to be working out at home, i'm willing to bet he won't have a spotter. This is why i prefer to use dumbbells instead. Less risk of me getting pinned by a bar full of weights. If i were going to spend $700 on a piece of home gym equipment, it would NEED to have some sort of safety mechanism. That's not to say that i wouldn't use barbells or free weights, but i would want some sort of guarantee that i couldn't drop a fully loaded barbell on my chest/head/etc. Either that, or i'd get a bench, some adjustable dumbbells, and a bunch of weights for the dumbbell bars.
