The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    At Home Training

I was just wondering if Doing push ups and sit ups every single night would be a good idea. I Lift in my Strength Training class 1st period at high school every Mon-Fri. But now i want to start working out at home.

I usually do 4x50 push-ups with 2min-3min rest in between i will do the sit ups, 30crunches each side and than leg up reaches. But now i want to do these every night regardless of my work out in 1st period. Is this a good idea? will i have enough rest to gain muscle in those areas?

Note: I'm going to get back on Whey Protein a scoop after 1st period lifting, and a scoop after this at home training

by all means, if you want to prep for the military go ahead and do this. but doing 50 pushups will actually make it harder for you to get bigger by taking away from your rest time for the weight-room workouts.

    It'll help with #1, but not #2.

lets say i don't do the push ups on days that i work the chest at school, other than that i wouldn't see how it would effect me getting bigger from my at school workout. k lets just take out the part that i am working out at school.

Would doing the push ups every night give me time to rest. or should i do them every other night. what?

^--Depends how hard you're pushing yourself. I wouldnt recommend it every single night if the intensity is there. Even with simple exercises like push ups you're body grows when you rest not when you workout.
Also, as said, push ups arent really gonna help you get bigger.

RUN! That will help you. Then pushups and pullups.
