The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Metal/hardcore enthusiasts, could use some suggestions

So I've recently became a pretty big fan of a lot of death metal bands. My workout playlist is gradually being taken over.
Here are some of the bands I currently listen to while lifting:
    Naglfar
    Catamenia
Amon Amarth (so epic and amazing)
    Finntroll
    All That Remains

Here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGywo81G6lk (one of my favorite songs of all time, even my friends that don't like death metal like this one)

Anything with a good melody, good progession, etc. I usually don't like grindcore unless it's done extremely well (ie like Amon Amarth).

TBDM is a bad arse metal band. Some of their stuff sounds the same though. Nocturnal is by far their best album!

Job for a Cowboy is pretty good if you can tolerate the pig squeals.

WillNoble pretty much hit the nail on the head but I got a few more:

Behemoth (every metal head should have)
    Skinless
    Belphegor
    Hate Eternal
Testament's The Formation of Damnation- gets my vote for metal album of the year
Pantera/ Slayer-not death metal- but essentials on any gym/metal playlist
    Hypocrisy
    Arch Enemy
    Crytopsy
    Necrophagist
    etc

On a side note..I saw Amon Amarth a summer 2007, and they sounded like loud ****. JFAC was easily the loudest band I've EVER heard. They rattled everything in the venue.

A band I just recently found out about is Intronaut. Now THAT is some sweet-ass metal.

For some of you guys that like the relentless stuff..these guys are good friends of my brother. The drummer is phenomenal.

I wish someone could find a new band for me to listen to, but that's asking too much
    22 - 5'10@236lbs!
    Bench - 325 (old)
    Squat - 455x2 (old)
    Deadlift - 500(old)

Really, you don't think I've tried that first?

To clarify my first post, I'm saying it's too much because I'm so picky with music and I doubt anyone would be able to find me new music.

that as blood runs black video is what i hate about current "metalcore". it's so cliche and every band sounds just like that.

If you like Finntroll and Amon Amarth check out:

    Wintersun
    Ensiferum
    Thyrfing
    Kiuas
    Korpiklaani
    Equilibrium
    Eluveitie

Also, from the others you listed you'd probably like:

    Opeth
    Kalmah
    Dark Tranquillity
    In Flames (older stuff)
    At the Gates
    Heaven Shall Burn
    Neaera
    Hypocrisy
    Eternal Tears of Sorrow
    Insomnium
    Impaled Nazarene
    Motorhead
    Mors Principium Est
    Norther
    Skyfire
    Katatonia

You don't have any power metal listed, but it's worth looking into:

    Nightwish
    Sonata Arctica
    Kamelot
    Queensryche
    Evergrey
    Edguy
    Age: 18
    Height: 5'10
    Weight: 205

Nice to see someone else likes Naglfar. A great band with several really good CDs, IMO.

I'll second All Shall Perish. Hate Malice Revenge is their best album, IMO.

If you like ATR, you might like Cataract & Heaven Shall Burn. Not death metal though.

There are only a few bands I can think of that I haven't seen listed yet unless I missed them.

    Death
    Turisas
    Exodus
    Death Angel
    Borknagar
    Katatonia
    Kamelot
    Suffocation
    Meshuggah

Not quite metal, not quite punk...figure it out:
    Protest The Hero
    A Wilhelm Scream

you've got issues kid. First, you only wear solid colored t shirts because you don't want to advertise for companies, now you're picky about music...

Woah, lots of replies, which is awesome, thanks.
I have a good amount of music to look up.

And if anyone else hasn't checked out Arch Enemy, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4Dn02bR4pg
(in addition to sounding good, she is not too difficult to look at)
A girl screamer in a metal band is something definitely different, but I liked it a alot. And if you enjoy that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1H4SVRApGhM
(much like Arch Enemy, pretty singer, and good voice)

    Thanks again for the suggestions!

LOL - I saw them in concert this summer and the lead singer had a huge dorky smile on his face the whole time. They kicked ass though.
