The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thanks guys. A pair of lifting shoes is on my list next but I am broke now. I just bought the rack and more weight here recent. I would like to get some bands or chains in the future also.

Thanks man, I checked them out and they are not making that shoe anymore. I will have to see when I get some extra cash.

    Vids from today...

Front Squat. This is only my 2nd time doing these so the weight is light until I get comfortable with them. I am also really working on stretching to get in the clean position but my right elbow hurts like hell when I try.

    Press

FSs look good. I like the howling in the 1st video... way to be intense!!! jk

Press: Get under the bar, once the bar clears your face push your head forward and shrug the weight once your arms are fully extended. I cant tell but be sure to keep your core tight and flex your quads too.

Haha, that was my dog. She was howling at the fire whistle..
I will take your advise. Ya I keep my abs tight and my legs actually burn sometimes during presses.

It looks like your back is rounding a little at the bottom of your back squats. Rows looked good, front squats looked good, and presses were decent.

It still may be rounding a bit. It was much worse before if I went below parallel. I have been doing a lot of stretching lately to improve that.

This will be it for the week. I had a hard time getting everything to loosen up for the squats which kept me from getting as deep as I wanted to. I will work with this weight again next week and improve form and depth.

    Squat 240 X 5

    Bench 215 X 5

    Dead Lift 325 X 5

All weekend and no feedback yet... I know the squat wasn't very good but I need some thoughts on the DL form.

Your hips rise faster than your upper body.

Think a piece of steel running through your spine down through your pelvis. Be much tighter. Abs, shoulders, arch.
