The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I've seen him compete at my last two meets, damn impressive at any age... at 18 is just phenominal.

I've lifted with him in two meets now... first was three years ago, second was this past summer. He made TREMENDOUS progress in that time period and I bet he's got a lot left in him too. Not to mention he's pretty humble as well. I also think his family was built to powerlift - his dad has a 777 pull iirc and his brother's danged strong to boot.

Very impressive however keep in mind that teens have high levels of natural testosterone. Still very impressive though.

This is a useless quote that means nothing but yet defines me as a profound intellect.

this kid is ridiculous. i have the privilege to watch him lift all the time since he lifts with Zenzen Barbell which i am on. A couple of weeks ago we put a Titan Katana on him that Matt Minuth had in his gym bag. It was really big on him and still did over 500 pounds i forgot the number but he did touch something. It was his first time in a shirt as well.

But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

I've seen him and his brother at several meets and they are both strong as hell. Their dad Ernie, Sr. is incredibly strong as well. I saw him do an 800lb raw deadlift a couple summers ago at an APF meet in Chicago.
