    Pushups everyday?

I am working to gain size. Would it be advisable to do pushups everyday including on training days? Can I overdo pushups? I have read conflicting opinions. Thanks in advance.

You gain size from eating, lifting, and resting. So, no do not do push ups everyday. I do them maybe once a week, 2-3 sets.

In addition, to other chest exercises they may over do it if you are trying to bulk up. Not everyday anyway....maybe on chest days though.

you can overdo anything, though it depends. if you can do sets of 200 reps with no trouble then it wont have as big an effect on your gains as youd think. however its still not wise to do something everyday.

I thought is was ok to to do non weight lifting exercises everyday e.g. push ups and sit ups. Lifting weights and working same muscle group every day is supposed to be counter productive.
